Good Eating above Goleta?? [moved from Los Angeles board]

Any suggestions on a great place for lunch above Goleta? We heading out of LA and will be up there around lunch time...any suggestions?

depends on how far above Goleta, or when you get hungry, I suppose!

Snakish is correct, just rolling hills, no towns between Goleta and Buellton. Beautiful!

If you need more info about this area, here are some ideas from a past thread:

Chef Rick's in Orcutt , 3-4 min from 101, would be fantastic. California fusion with a cajun heartbeat. About 15 min north of Buellton.

Try the Firestone brewery in Buellton. Nice food. Lots of choices at Solvang. Nothing much after Goleta until Buellton.

There isn't anything - no businesses - between Goleta and Buellton. It is one of the great unspoiled stretches of California coastline.

Detour out to Jalama Beach for their famous hamburgers?

That is such a great detour! Wonder what that road would be like in a big winter storm?

We should be so lucky to have a "big winter storm" -- we need rain! ;-)

That big Brewery in Buellton........I forget the name of it.

Or Cold Springs Tavern is JUST above Goleta on the 154.
