A good place for a pregnant lady?

My sister, who is pregnant with twins, is coming to visit and will need to eat! We want to go out to dinner on Saturday night someplace near Boston- JP, West Roxbury, Newton, Brookline, etc. Any suggestions? Also, the place will need a parking lot of valet as she cannot walk very far anymore! Thanks!

  1. Why not just drop her off at the restaurant and go park? If that's acceptable, I'd suggest 10 tables in JP, but make a reservation like now. Last time we went, the parking was pretty easy, but I don't think they have a lot. Food and atmosphere are fantastic.

I love Ten Tables too and recommend it often, but I have a hard time maneuvering around the tables in that tiny space, and I'm on the thin side. If I were pregnant with twins, the trip down those narrow stairs to the bathroom would terrify me.

Really good call cookboat -- pregnant ladies need to avail themselves of the facilities a lot and that staircase gave ME the vertigo. Love TT but not the place for this occasion.

What about Washington Square Tavern in Brookline? If you drop her in front of the restaurant you'd be able to find a spot on the street within a block or two.

I guess I've never been to the loo in TT. Save it for another time, then.

    2. The Langham Hotel has a pregnancy-safe menu.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to check out Washington Sq Tavern with her. What about West on Centre? Any thought about that place?

      2. Good place for a pregnant lady? A hospital!
        Sorry, couldnt' resist. ;)

No, but really, let me about Brazilian rodezio, at Green Fields, in Allston/Brighton? Besides having a parking lot, the restaurant is spacious, and there is a wide selection of salty, sweet, sour, tangy items to choose from at the buffet, should your sister have odd cravings. :)

Green Fields has been closed since late July or so - there's a small sign beside the door saying it's been purchased by Shabu Zen. However, last I looked there was no sign at all of any renovation activity.

(There are many who would argue, as well, that a hospital is NOT necessarily a good place for a pregnant lady, even one with twins, but I digress.)
