Please within 10 minutes of LAX. Cannot say what special cuisine, because it is for guest who says you choose and refuses to say what they like.

I don't know if these are too far, but... (and these are all standard fare, rather than ethnic or decidedly adventurous)...

      Second City Bistro
      Chef Hannes
      Cafe del Rey
Truxton in Westchester is nothing remarkable, but very close to airport.

because of construction, lincoln blvd ( the route to cafe del rey) is often VERY congested/slow-moving. this means that the LAX-cafe del rey trip could well take 20-30 minutes.
normally there is at least an accident a day on the stretch of lincoln between loyola marymount drive (used to be called hughes terrace) and jefferson (on aug. 20, my car was one of the accident participants) which results in practical gridlock on that street until the cars are cleared (usually 30 to 45 minutes).
if you are trying to make it to cafe del rey right after the daily accident occurs, it could take you up to 30 minutes.

Cafe Del Rey in MDRey, Antica Pizza in same general area if pizza might be of interest, Baby Blues BBQ just north of the other two, or Houstons in Manhattan Beach on Rosecrans a bit east of Sepulveda would be several more options beyond those already mentioned.
