1. Who has the best cheese plate in DC? Preferably a place w/ a nice bar where one can have a top notch glass of wine or two and some yummy cheese. We have been trying to hit all the best spots in town for friday happy hours and/or dinner.

2. Has anyone tried Alison Swope's new Restaurant K? The menu sounds really good but i haven't seen anything on here or any of the other usual places and tables always seem to be available on Open Table (which certainly isn't an indication of anything, i know!) Just curious! thanks!

I think there was a fairly recent chain about cheese plates. You will need to use the search function to find it.

I thought the cheese options at Proof were delicious. I especially appreciated the descriptions l on the menu.

Also if I remember correctly the cheese options at Dino were pretty good as well.

My friend always raves about the cheese plate at Taberna del Alberdero. I've never had it but I hear it comes with a very fresh honey which is tasty. That paired with some Spanish wines is probably a nice happy hour snack.

In terms of Restaurant K, if you do a search you should be able to find a thread about Swope's new restaurant from when it first opened.
