Wat Thai...any word on re-opening?

When Wat Thai was closing, I had heard that the close may be temporary. Does anyone know if there are any plans to re-open?

Or where else can I satisfy my mangoes & sticky rice craving? The West LA/SaMo area would be great..... Has anyone tried Poom Thai on Linclon?

As far as I know they will not re-open. All the vendor already move to the other location. Unfortunately, I do not remember where they move to. I will try to find out and get back to you.

The temple voluntarily closed so they can iron out the issues in the community in order to re-open at a later date. They will filing for a new conditional use permit once those issues are mitigated. There is no timetable. The temple has reportedly been in communication with both the community and Wendy Greuel's council office. There's also talk about starting up a smaller weekend food court on the other side below the school.
