Walleye - Phoenix Metro

Dined w/ the SO's parents the other evening at the Grainbelt Grill House.
3 of us ordered the Walleye ($17.95) which is now a regular item on their menu.
The preparation was fabulous! It was topped w/ a nice crust and a tomato and cucumber salsa. It wasn't deep fried like most restaurants in was flaky fresh and very light!
We also enjoyed a basket of hot fresh baked corn fritters served w/ butter and honey....they were decadent!

Who else in town serves fresh Walleye?

  1. Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe had a frequent walleye special (which has been fresh in the past) but have not been in quite some time so I do not know if they still rotate it. You may want to call them.

Thanks, I will call Four Peaks! We usually frequent the location in Scottsdale and I haven't seen it.....we would definitely be willing to travel.
Does anyone know anything about 'Sundays' in Scottsdale?
I have heard that they serve Walleye too.

    2. Lakeshore Restaurant at Saguaro Lake has Walleye. I've only had it once, but enjoyed it. Don't remember how it was prepared - sorry! Do remember the excellent bloody mary, though.

      1. Feeney's usually has it, although I've never tried it.

        1. When I was at Red White & Brew in Chandler last month, people at a nearby table were enjoying walleye. It's not on regular menu, but it's one of RW&B's daily specials pretty much every day from November through February, according to our server.
