Opinions on Delivered Sushi Supplies

  • 7

Would anybody in Toronto pay for sushi fish delivered for parties (groups of 6 or more)?

Would like to get your opinion if this is something people are doing/would do.

Cheers

  1. Personally, I would LOVE great sushi delivered to my door. There are many places downtown that deliver. Just none that satisfy. However at parties of 6 or more I think you're more into the catering territory rather than delivery, yes?

Let's put it this way: John Lee of Omi is my very favourite. They only way you can have his stuff right now is through his catering business. I've been unable to place an order because of the need to have a sushi dinner party to go with it. My heart aches.

maybe this calls for a chowhound meetup where we don't eat out but eat in!

If John Lee is doing the catering, count me in! Sorry, but I'm unable to host.

I think it's a good idea.... might as well float it out there with the Google group. It may take some time to organize and find a willing host, though.

PSP, tried to reach you via the GoogleGroup, but couldn't get logged in. I suspect my blondeness.

I MAY have a venue that would seat 24 people communal table style. The one proviso, of course, would be that hubby & I would occupy 2 of the seats. Hubby's checking available dates. Once I have that info I will relay it to you. If we're all on board, one of us can contact Omi Sushi Catering to see if we have any matching dates. Thoughts?

consider the proviso granted ;) of course you'd have those seats! my email address is in my profile now and you can contact me there, even if it's just to drop a contact line between us. sounds perfect so far, once the location is available then i'd be happy to hash out a few logistical details to make this work.

Hi there, sorry for the delayed reply. I was makin curries.

I guess you could call it catering. Essentially an order for something like a "sushi party" seeing as most of the parties I go to end up in the kitchen anyway. So it's half done, and you do the rest. More sashimi oriented, but I'm guessing rice and stuff could be available as well.

But this ain't sushi. More on the supplies side, bulk sushi-grade fish, etc.
