Blind date - on the westside tomorrow night

We both like food, Sushi and Thai seem to be on our minds. He is coming from the 10 freeway....where to go on 3rd? Beverly? Sunset...given it is blind date, valet parking would be nice.

i agree that tasca is a fantastic date place, although the second time i went, the food wasn't as good and i didnt like the overpriced wines they poured....

i just went to ludobites at bread bar last night and it rocked.. very casual, but very good food. probably will spend about 50 a person before tip. byob... no corkage.. have glasses but no stemware...

i love angelini and hatfields but good luck getting reservations...

oh shit, your date was for yesterday... oh well..

I want to know where yummy went, how the food was and how the date went ...

For both sushi and Thai, and free parking, and close to the 10 - Natalee Thai on Venice (not their other location on Robertson...). Reasonably priced, good food, appropriate first date ambiance.

Neither sushi nor Thai, but Tasca would be great for this.

Sushi Zo is right off the 10 at National--fantastic sushi. No valet parking since there's tons of parking at the shopping center next door.

Well 3rd and Beverly certainly aren't what I'd consider westside... Not sure if you mean down past Cedars, or whether you mean closer to Bev Hills...

If you want really westside, I'd suggest Musha for japanese

for thai, you could do tuk tuk or talesai (which is not bad for a first date ambience wise)

sushi, lots of options... i like sushi masu recently; sushi zo's prolly too far west for you?

if he's coming off the 10, you might consider ethiopian on fairfax - meals by genet

INstead of meals by genet, get more for your $$$ at Messob or Rahel (vegetarian) on the same street...sorry emme, I likke genet too, but her portions are tiny compared to any other eithiopian place, and her prices high! Messob has a valet.

Tuk tuk is a good idea!

I hesitated to recommend Rahel, merely because on a blind date, I'd never assume my date wanted to eat vegetarian... I haven't had good experiences personally at Messob, so portions aside, I tend to vascillate b/t Rahel and Meals.
