Does anyone know of a place in Philadelphia to get Tim Tams? Or a supermarket with a decent selection of imported products?

I don't know if they have Tim Tams, but the Superfresh on Columbus Blvd just below Tasker has increased it's imported foods in the last year or so. Might be worth a shot. Nothing else comes to mind but I'll keep my eye out

Sorry this isn't helpful, but I have to ask, what's a Tim Tam? I love Chowhound, I learn new things all the time.

I've never had them but this is the description I found on line - makes me want to find them!
Tim Tams are a chocolate biscuit made by Arnott's Biscuits, Australia. A Tim Tam is composed of two layers of chocolate malted biscuit, separated by a light chocolate cream filling, and coated in a thin layer of textured chocolate

Tim Tams, are made in Australia by Arnott's Biscuits, a subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Company, where I work. At present, I do not believe they are imported into the US in any official manner. We occasionally get some around our HQ in Camden when folks from Arnott's come into town, but other than that they are pretty scarce in the US. I can check with our export/import manager, but I suspect you may be out of luck.

        Sorry.

Have never seem those phenomenally addictive cookies in any retail store in the States. But they're online at a few places like this site:
          http://www.simplyoz.com/products/auss...

We had planned on bringing four packages home as gifts when we went over four years ago. We ended up eating two packages on the flights, then couldn't part with either of the others. Most addicting cookie ever.

Can't get Victoria Bitter either, but that's another post for another forum...

My husband worked on the ad campaign for the launch of Tim Tams in the US, so I think soon they will be a lot easier to find. I have no idea the time line tho. I have an Aussie friend who is pretty psyched.

Tim Tams are being sold at Target. I had thought that it was a limited time thing and it was the only place to get them, but since Ants Pant is selling them I guess that isn't correct. However, the Target on Mifflin St does sell them (I got some last week and they are delicious)

Thanks for the heads-up about Target! I just purchased several packages of Tim Tams at the Target in Plymouth Meeting. They are carrying chocolate and the caramel variety. They are being sold in different packaging under the Pepperidge Farm name. According to several reports online, they will be available for a limited time in the U.S. until March 2009.

I am thrilled to have come across this post! My husband recently was at a Campbell's Soup event and brought me home a selection on Tim Tams. They are all really great... but the honeycomb ones are the most divine cookie I have ever tasted in the world! Since then, I have been wondering if I would ever find them in the stores here.

I've been on the lookout for these too! Just spent a week in Singapore last week for work and managed to stock up on a few packages. Just in time for my boys birthdays! They were so delighted! (Brought back some "Hundreds and Thousands" too!

Timtamslam is correct. I heard they were going to be in most Wegmans starting mid-summer. Apparently they are supposed to be in their awesome international sections. My friend from Virginia said she saw them today at the grand opening of Wegmans Fredericksburg, VA store. I guess it was crazy there. She said she had a package of the chocolate in her hand, walked away, and then came back to pick up caramel, too. Mentioned they were in their european section of the international foods aisle. Only like $3.49...cheap!!!!

Thanks for the info - found at Wegmans in Warrington (Bucks County), they were just with the other regular cookies/biscuits, not in the international section. They were packaged "Arnotts" rather than Tim Tams but they were "Made in Australia" so the taste was right on. Only the original type was available but I'm not complaining!

"Arnotts" is the original tim tam. Had to be renamed for USA. If anyone is in Ithaca, NY this Saturday, August 15th,, the Ithaca Wegmans is having a "Tim Tam Slam". Event starts around 11:00 a.m.
