Lift in Hollywood

I just had lunch at the new restaurant Lift on Hollywood Blvd in the Hillview Apartment building. I would highly recommend it. Small bistro look to it and the food is great. They are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and are about to open a Jazz Club in the basement of the building next month. This place is charming, affordable and exactly what Hollywood needed. Dinner entrees include everything from the most expensive item Lamb Chops for $25 to a Vegetable Pot Pie for $12. Olive Oil Braised Salmon is $18. Wine and Beer....Great place to go if you are going to the Pantages. I hear they will soon be open 22 hours a day. Check it out! Phone: 323.469.1848

RobertC - wow, the prices have come down a lot! I did a review of Lift shortly after it opened for dinner (in addition to brunch) and my only real complaint was that the prices were a bit steep. According to their PR person, they read the review and reduced their prices - but it seems like they reduced them even more since then, which is awesome. Yay for accessibility.
I thought the food there was quite good. One of my favorites was the squash soup, as simple as that is. Here's the full review: http://losangeles.metromix.com/restau...

Yes, they must have listened. I had the Albacore Tuna Melt with Grilled onions and a side mixed greens salad for $10 at lunch. I have to say it was great and quite filling. Perfect Bistro food..good selection of salads. The most expensive item on the lunch menu is the Lobster Mac-N-Cheese for $14. BTW, thanks for your link. Great web site and your review was right on...they definitely changed their prices...this place is a real gem. The owners I hear own Avalon as well. Looking forward to the Jazz Club opening. This end of Hollywood Blvd is getting interesting.
