    ...if you do a search for 'pies' on this board, you'll find a ton!

    My personal favorite is Pinisi Bakery in the EV (Veniero's also never fails to impress with their whole pies, individual desserts are another matter...), but to each his own!

    1. Kitchenette at 122nd st. on Amsterdam has fantastic pies (in all sorts of great flavors like pear and chocolate peanut butter, not just pumpkin and apple). They also have a location somewhere downtown, too--in Tribeca or Soho, I think.

        I saw a fantastic looking pumpkin pie (well, slices) at Bird Bath. They probably have it to order at City Bakery.
