Columbus Circle area for Thanksgiving Lunch--ideas?

We are planning to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade from around 70th on Central Park West. After the parade, we'd love to steer in the opposite direction of crowds and try a new area of the city for us with regard to dining. Any casual suggestions for Thanksgiving lunch around Columbus Circle or on Columbus? It totally doesn't have to be "Thanksgiving" food, either. We like most all food and are planning on Katz for a sandwich that evening before Stomp. Thanks for any advise!

  1. Perhaps, Porter House or Landmarc, in the Time-Warner Center? Or you could go further south to Roberto Passon, on the corner of 9th Av. & 50th St. Acc. to the listing on OpenTable, they're serving a turkey dinner though you can check to see if their regular Italian menu will be available. Also right there -- presuming they'll be open -- is Uncle Nick's, on 9th, b/t 50th & 51st. Very good Greek food.

Thanks, RGR. BTW, I did your LES tour during our trip in May, and my entire family had an outstanding time. Of course, we waddled back to our hotel after all the great food and the wonderfully cultural Tenement tour. Thanks for all your helpfulness. I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving!
