paella in san luis obispo

My freshman year daughter at Cal Poly wants us to take her out for paella when we visit her. Does anyone know any good spots for the dish in the area, or even somewhat north or south, such as near hearst castle ? thanks!

I've seen paella show up occasionally on menus in the area. But I don't know who might have it as a regular item.

But there is the Pinot and Paella Cook-off north of SLO in Templeton in June. So maybe for an end of the academic year visit?

didn't know about this--though the site says Paso Robles.

Reading the winners for the past several years, 10th Street Cafe in San Miguel won the People's Choice/Celebrity Chef awards 3 years running. Also high in the standings was Villa Creek of Paso Robles.

Kathryn, I'd rec checking out these restaurants and calling them to see if it is on the menu. Or, if you have a large enough group, they might make it special for you.
