Bouchon in Asheville - very good!

Hey all - went to Bouchon tonite - loved it!

Great vibe/decor and service. Really a delightful evening.

Honestly, I was quite impressed.

Killer bread and I think Plugra for the butter.

I had the Portobello Tartin (vegetarian that I am) and it came with a green salad with beets and a mustard vinigrette - that and a side of the pomme frites was superb.

We shared a bottle of the house red which at $14 was a very good value.

The chocolate and strawberry crepe was the shared dessert and was served with a very nice real whipped cream - not at all overly sweet.

Others at the table loved their meaty things and a good time was had by all.

Check it out!

We love Bouchon! We only get up to our place in Asheville about every two months, but this place is always on our list! My hubby spent many years in Belgium/France and these are the most authentic frites he's seen here in the states! They are just sooooo good! Last time I was there I had a crepe with Brie filling - mmmmmm. And Crepe Suzette for dessert. Hubby had all you can eat mussels (which he loves) and it was all an incredible value, in a great setting. You can't beat it for the price!
