Just had to officially post about the worst dining experience in recent memory.

Arrived for an early-bird reservation on Saturday - and Murphy's Law kicked in. Waited more than 10 minutes for any service. No wine list (?!) besides the flights, no water. No bread or crackers with the wine. Took forever to get the order in. Once we got served, no silverware. Entrees arrived at different times, gristled and severely overcooked. Wine re-orders were forgotten or "misunderstood." And it wasn't cheap! $140 for the two of us, pre-tip. Check took so long to get we arrived at the theater 15 minutes late.

Yet amazingly, it was busy.

Do not, I repeat, do not go there under any circumstances.

Sorry that you had a horrible experience at Spill the Wine aliasv. Without discounting your horrible time there at all, my experience there was not the same as yours. We had a party of 10 there and I think that everyone enjoyed their food. Our service was friendly and helpful. I would not say that it is the best food in the Twin Cities, but (for those who may be interested in trying it) it's perfectly acceptable if you come in with moderate expectations.

I am not a wine expert by any means, but thought that their wine selection was very interesting and varied.

I have to agree with alias. We have had spotty service (and mediocre food) the two times we've been.

The final nail in their coffin for us however was seeing that they have two bottles (one duoro, one pinot noir) that they also have at Toast, but were 25% more expensive at Spill the Wine. For our money, we'll go to Toast over STP as the food is better and apparently the wine is less expensive.
