for fall it is matsutaki with small bits of chicken. This smalls like a forest, all itI needs is some pine needls and the illusion would be complete. Taste is as good as the best rice dishes, even the plain rice after days of illness. It takes 30 + minutes, marked on menu for two and costs $32.00. Split it two or three ways
Since it is matsutake season I am sure most of the Japanese restaurants will have dishes featuring matsutake. I remember last fall I had a similar matsutake rice dish at Aburiya Kinnosuke, and it was blended with other vegetables instead of chicken. It was so comforting to have this dish when the weather was cold. They also had matsutake dobin mushi which was another favorite of mine.
