Husband wants Lobster Dinner

Any suggestions for a restaurant that serves whole plain steamed or broiled lobster? Not Docks or City Crab. I'm fresh out of ideas.
Thanks.

  1. NYC is probably not the best place to eat lobster. I used to get the summer lobster dinner deal at Chumley's before they closed or go to LI. Suggest the lobster place in Chelsea Market (super casual), maybe Aquagrill or surf and turf at a steakhouse. I defer to other hounds since I'm not into steakhouses.

      or Francisco's Centro Vasco

      are my two current favorites.

      1. If you want the lobster in its shell, I'd go to Mary's Fish Camp every time--the grilled lobster is one of the best around. Pearl Oyster is a close second for this kind of preparation. Now, if it's a lobster roll you're after--it's Pearl before Mary's.

            Hi Erica!

Yep, the Palm..... or Palm Too if you want a more quiet and less chaotic dining experience.

If your husband likes really big (and I mean really big) lobster, then Palm it is! I have heard that over 70% of the lobsters that are over 3lbs are purchased by Palms for their restaurants. So their lobsters are really the jumbo size deal. They used to have a steak and lobster for 2 deal, not sure if that's still available.
