Farinata or Faina in the bay area?
What is a good place to sample Farinata or Faina (Argentinian/Italian Chick Pea Pizza??)
I've only had it at Rose Pistola (I haven't been there in a long time, don't know if it's any good now. It was pretty tasty a few years ago). I don't think I've seen it on any other menus.
Is this similar to socca? If so, there was a place in that gourmet mall that opened on Shattuck about 2 years ago that sold socca. I think it closed though... I also had the version at Rose Pistola several years ago and thought it was very good.
Soif in downtown Santa Cruz features a seasonal farinata on their small plates menu. The last one I had was carmelized onion and sage. Every time I go there I order it. It is super yummy.
