orange table - scottsdale
If you haven't been there yet, Orange Table rocks. It's been mentioned here a bunch but I had to give it another shout out.
We hit it this afternoon after quite an abscence and had yet another great meal. They are really about great ingredients & great food. The one knock can be that the service can definitely take a while (not today as it was slow) but if you are in for a leisurely breakfast or lunch, it's hard to beat. We got there too late for my favorite (the white flannel corned beef hash) as breakfast stops at 2 pm on the weekends so tried some lunch entrees new to us.
Had a 1/2 lb koobie burger (feta, cucumber, yogurt tzatzki, onion) which was yummy, the twingo veggie melt (grilled eggplant, tomato, roasted bell pepper, carmelized red onion covered with melted cheese on olive bread with their haji garlic sauce) which my wife couldn't stop raving about, a hummus plate, a great soy decaf latte & my beloved coffee soda. The sandwiches were as messy as always but they were soooo good. The latte & coffee soda were awesome as always.
I think it's just great to have a local independent place that uses such great ingredients & is so about turning out great food just because. It seems like every visit, they've added another super interesting quality ingredient and new interesting dishes (saw a bunch of breakfast dishes to try). Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog on a cheese plates, chicken breast grilled to order for their salads, newly using specially sourced line caught tuna and all organic free range chicken, etc., etc.
We are definitely not going to wait as long before our next visit (and we will get there before 2 pm too)!

Went to Orange Table around 9 last night and had the 1/2 lb burger ($9) cooked with 3oz of Arrogant Bastard (one of my favorite beers!) - for $3 more they will give you the 19oz remaining the in the bottle. So, burger and a great beer for $12! What a value.
My gf had a grilled cheese with PURPLE cheese, it rocked. They had Rogue Dead Guy Ale on special and their wine list looked pretty interesting (lots of b-t-g selections too), we will definitely will be back many more times.

We went there for the first time on Saturday since we wanted to try something new. We got there a bit after noon and there was a bit of a wait, but there was a Porsche show going on in the adjacent courtyard so we just meandered around that for a bit. I had the green flannel hash and my boyfriend had the white flannel hash and we both stuffed ourselves into oblivion - so good! The service was actually better than I'd been expecting, as I'd read some things on here that would make me think otherwise.
We are dog lovers and have a big dog we love to take out to eat with us, and we were completely stoked that they have a dog-friendly patio. There were two dogs with the group next to us and the waitress even brought them water!
My one small point of contention was the drinks weren't that great - my coffee was mediocre at best (but I can't think of anywhere in Phoenix that serves great breakfast AND coffee - any recommendations?), and my boyfriend's bloody mary and margarita were pretty eh.

I think the prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get, though some might consider them a bit high for breakfast. The fantastic corned beef hashes are $10 and consist of probably a half-lb of cornbeef (hashed with stuff), two eggs, and four huge slices of toast. I have a huge appetite and couldn't clean my plate.
The patio is great - it's one of the only patios I can think of that doesn't face a parking lot or the street. I'm looking forward to going back and bringing our dog this week or next.
