THE WORLD Market in Hollywood`
I was driving on US 1 in hollywood yesterday and drove past "The World" international grocery store. I had never noticed it before. Is it worth stopping in to see? What do they offer?
Also on that same block as a small store front that was called something along the line of European Sausages. Does anyone know about them?
I live down south, and I am not in the area very often, but I was wondering if it worth the trip back up there to see both places

World Market is kind of like Pier One Imports, but with an international food section too. They have lots of furniture, housewares, and tchochkes like Pier One, but I always head straight back to the food. Don't expect any perishables, but they have plenty of packages goods -- candies and chocolate, sauces and spices, crackers and chips, and great selections of soda, beer, and wine (domestic microbrews as well as international stuff). It's the only place I've ever found mini-kegs of Virgil's Root Beer, which I always bring to parties.
You can check out their website at http://www.worldmarket.com/home.jsp , but it doesn't even come close to listing all the merchandise at the store. If you're into trying cool new snacks or planning to put together gift baskets or holiday stockings, it would be worth a trip back some time in the near future.

re: Big Bad Voodoo Lou
Two different places. World Market is out west in Pembroke Pines. I agree that it is a fun place for food and wine.
OP, never been inside the place you are talking about but know the area and assume it is E. European. There is a Eurpoean bakery next store
