Awesome Cakes on North Shore?

I'm invited to my BF's parents for the holidays and am assigned to bring dessert. What is the best place on the North Shore to get a beautiful and delicious cake? I really want to impress these people so I need something special. I'll go anywhere between Charlestown and Newburyport for a great cake.

Nico's in Salem. Been to way too many birthday parties lately, and comparing the two side by side, Nico is the winner. He is an Albanian immigrant and is a truly talented artist. Flowers, images, you name it. And he gives a wonderful choice of fillings, frostings and flavors. If it isn't on his list, just ask, and if he can do it, he will. Incredibly beautiful flowers. Enjoy.

I highly recommend D'Amicis in Wakefield or Lynn. Their cakes are beautiful and delicious. The buttercream frosting is to die for. Check them out at www.damicis.com.

Pace's in Saugus has nice pastries but I have never tried their cakes. Also, I have tried and loved the ice cream cakes at Cherry Hill Farm in Danvers. I know it is a cold time of the year but it is different and they are opened year round.

I hear the Black Forest cake is amazing, but he does all kinds of amazing stuff.

My favorite is Lubertos, on Broadway, Revere.

I love their strawberry,kiwi, fruit topped cake surrounded by whipped cream! Yum.

You have to special order any for the holiday though.

LUBERTOSSS!!!! IS THE BEST! But if you want like a birthday cake etc I would say cakes for occasions in danvers very good!
