Apple Crisp

I made a delicious apple crisp years ago, but i cannot find the recipe. all i remember besides the apples, of course, is that the crisp part used oatmeal. can anyone help me? i am supposed to make this for thanksgiving :). thanks.

  1. Here is what I do:
-place sliced/chopped apples tossed with a bit each of cinnamon and sugar and cornstarch in a pan
    - combine a one to one to one mix of flour to oatmeal (quick cooking) to brown sugar and add some cinnamon and nutmeg then melted butter and mix till crumbly. spread over apples and bake at 350-ish for about 40 min then add some chopped pecans or walnuts on top and bake another 10-15 min.

I know this is very general, but that's usually how I do things! Last time I used a deep 9X9 pan, about 5 apples, about 1cup flour, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup walnuts

I have a friend who tosses her apples with a dollop of orange juice concentrate and that's good too.

    Good Luck,
