Hello all! My mother in law is visiting in 2 weeks and I would greatly appreciate some help. I already searched the boards and couldn't find what I was searching for. Does anyone know of a Center City area spot for Sunday brunch with great food and music? We are pretty open on the type of music and food, but just so that the food is good and not outrageously priced. Thanks for your suggestions!

I think Zanzibar Blue, Ortlieb's, Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant, and Lucky Strike (bowling place) all do a jazz brunch, though perhaps not every Sunday. I think Plough in the Stars does a brunch with Irish music. I can't speak to the quality of the food, the music, or the prices at these places b/c I've never been myself. But those are some to look into at least. I'm not sure how important music is to you though -- I wouldn't rank any of these as in the top 20 brunch places in this city.

Caribou Cafe is reasonably priced, and had a jazz duo when we went for brunch recently. My Croque Monsieur was delicious as usual (my favorite item there), and my fiance really liked his Eggs Benedict. We were a bit puzzled at first by the seemingly tiny amount of Hollandaise on his dish, but when he tasted it, he realized it didn't need any more than that. Their Champagne by the glass is also inexpensive, but good.
