Late night drinks and appetizers in Northern Liberties?

A friend from out of town is having an art opening in Northern Liberties. It will be ending around 9-ish- and we are looking for a place that 12-20 of us can go afterwards and hopefully have a private area, table reserved, etc... for drinks and appetizers (some may have dinner). This has to be somewhere that will let us stay til midnight- does not have to be fancy, but good food is a plus for the few of us that may have dinner.

azure would also meet your needs. the food is good and it is rarely packed (isn't as trendy as some other northern liberties joints) and they hav a bar area too.

I think that is going to be hard because most restaurants in Northern Liberties are on the smaller side. They would probably be resistant to reserving 5 tables or so just for drinks and appetizers as they are already packed.

You're very kind Todd. I would never forget you. I just wasn't sure if anyone would be willing to give up the space at that hour when they are busy enough already just for apps and drinks - so you are very kind.

I tried Deuce's new menu, and I am in love. The space is great and the back room is incredibly spacious for a party of your size.

Well I'll say that I'm glad I've found where Todd landed after Mandoline. I enjoyed many a great meal there as well as a few fantastic group dinners with the DDC. I frequent Bar Ferdinand often and wondered what the nice looking place next store was like, now I know!

Chef Todd, that menu looks terrific. It may be enough to lure me out of the suburbs!

Thank You for the kind words. I make the trek from Newtown everyday, its not so bad. (just kidding) I have been here for almost two months and i feel at home here aleady. I love the neighborhood and the feel of the restaurant. I feel the stress has been lifted and i enjoy waking up and going to work. I hope to see you soon.

Bar Ferdinand fits your bill I think. It has a long communal table running down the center of the restaurant that I thin would seat at least 12 and maybe more. Very good food and people could order as little or much as they want given that it is a tapas bar. Great and friendly service too. Give them a call and see what they say. Given that they are a "bar" I know they stay open late, just not sure how late they serve food until.
