There's a great market on Eagle Road. It is called the Newtown Farmer's Market - though it is not a farmer's market in the most traditional sense. You'll be able to get very nice produce, good seafood, poultry and meat along with prepared foods. It is located indoors and open all year. The barbecued chicken stand is great, and so is the baker.

We also live in Newtown and we love this place. They're only open Thursday-Saturday, but they have excellent produce and meats. During the summer/early fall the Amish have a pig roast on Saturdays.

You have to try the pumpkin gems from the Amish bakery. When you go in the front door make a right and they're across from the Middle Eastern stall (which I need to try soon). They're little pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Addictive!

I know in the summer the started a farmers maket at the Grange. It's is on Penns Park Rd. You can get there from 413 or 232. I believe it is only on Sat, but i am also not sure if they continued it through the Fall season. The farmers market in Newtown is only opened Thurs, Fri & Sat.

The Bucks County Foodshed Alliance is a group of local farmers and others interested in sustainable agriculture in Bucks County. Their website is full of information on local agriculture and farmer's markets. http://www.buckscountyfoodshedallianc...
