Joso's on Davenport Road

Hi all
We a planning on going this evening to JOSO'S Restaurant

I have heard only positive things about this restaurant
Any rec's on what menu item they are known for?
Also what would YOU recommend to try?

  1. The fried calamari is one of the best in the city. Very delicate, perfectly cooked. Also, the selection of fresh grilled fish is usually fantastic. Feel free to ask for it boned if you prefer. Make sure you're not too distracted....

    1. I used to go there ALL THE TIME. The mussels (which are normally a sucker item on most menus) are cooked in a garlic wine broth that will leave you wanting to finish the whole thing (the garlic broth I mean!)...

I think you will love Joso's, no matter what you order, but it's a bit cramped on the week-end :)

      1. I would have seconded the calamari. What did you order? How did you like it? And, did you get distracted or did you manage to stay abreast of the situation. ;->

Sadly, we had a family emergency
so called them to cancel and re-book for Thursday Nov. 22nd:)
I will definitely post my full review and even take some photos of
the dishes served....stay tuned fellow FOOODIES:)

        2. they are known for their fresh fish and squid ink pasta. however, i got for the fried shrimp every time. it's worth the indulgence. and birthdays - they bring you zambuca shots. the place is always hopping full of characters. one of my faves in toronto.
