starbuck's pumpkin spice latte - new toxic formula?

yes, I know it's junky... no, I don't expect it to taste natural, but this year, it is completely different. For one thing, it is flaming orange, not the subtly, muted artificial orange of last year, and the taste was shockingly, joltingly, gag-inducingly artificial. Was it just the one location, or have they all changed? Or is it just me?
It is the same at all locations. Perhaps your barista put too many pumps of the syrup in your beverage? I like just one pump in a tall coffee, just enough flavor, not too orange :) Try the gingerbread latte, this is really yummy too, and just the usual flavored sugar syrup, not thick and creamy like the pumpkin spice.
I had one last weekend that was normal, and pretty tasty. I do not go out of my way for them, but a hot PSL was just the ticket in Lake Tahoe. Did you get an iced latte by chance?
I can't believe that someone else noticed that too!!! I mean..TOXIC Orange and there's something else in the mix too.it used to be sooo good.And they also switched from regular raspberry syrup to juicy raspberry.( Contains sacharinne).It sucks..that's all.
Hi, no it wasn't iced. Perhaps it was too many pumps, and hopefully just an error, but truly, it wasn't a super-concentrated over the threshold type thing, but a totally foreign FDA contravention tasting type thing. I'm glad it's not like that for all of you, but also glad that mellow yellow noticed it too. I thought I was losing my mind!
I'm in Florida and have had several psl's at different locations. None of mine have been orange and they've tasted yummy, just like always.
I too noticed the weird color, but the taste seemed to be the same to me. I'm just sad there were no pumpkin scones this year, which is what I REALLY look forward to.
I had a gingerbread spice latte last week - it is nice and nutmeggy but overall not as good as I remember. I had a peppermint hot cocoa yesterday, which I have found to be not minty enough before, but they seemed to have adjusted their recipe because it was exceptional last night.
