Dining In Puerto Rico

Heading to El Conquistador for vacation. We're looking for good, non-tourist restaurants. Will have 2 kids so low-key rather than high-brow. Love to hear suggestions.

Not sure if you have already gone on vacation. We were in PR in August and posted a report of our dining experiences (lots of suggestions from a search of this board and hounds). Picayo was upscale but most of the other places we ate at might work for a family (especially if kids are older and used to dining out). Metropol and Mi Casita are family friendly. It was my first time in PR, luckily my SO had been many times and knew PR well.
