It is where Golden Bird used to be on the grounds of the Baldwin Hills Mall. Here is a link to the post from when Dommy! and I went.

I have no idea, but the address is correct. I live in Toluca Lake and went down there on a recomdation. It is so great, I know it will become a weekly trip.

Harold and Belle's is better but also more of dinner place.

Agree. quite good. their sweet potato fries and the fried fish is fantastic. not too big a fan of their gumbo though

I love that place, food is delicious. I hear Harold & Belle's is good but the best stuff is all fried; Creole Chef's food isn't heavy or greasy at all. I talked to one of the owners and he said it was like "gourmet fast food" ... the eat-in space is quite modest. Their sausage with andouille dressing sounds bizarre but is delicious (the dressing is kind of spicy-sweet), and I had a bisque one time, crab bisque I think, with a touch of cognac, that was surprisingly refined for the neighborhood. If only it were closer, I'd eat there all the time. What the hell, it's not that far. Maybe I'll go tomorrow!
