Visual recap of my Singapore/Malaysia trip

I just got back this week from a 10-day food journey to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Yes, I basically wandered around for 10 days looking for food.

I tried to sample as many local favorites as possible from the most highly-regarded restaurants/hawker stands I was able to locate. This plan worked much better in Singapore than in KL as I was reduced to limiting my food options to the main part of the city there.

There are a few things I wish had gone better about the trip, but overall I think I accomplished/ate most everything I set out to.

I thought this might be useful for other people on this board and wanted to share it. :)

  1. Great photos!
    My kind of places.
Heavy on the Melmac; light on the garnishes.

    1. Great pix. Tell us more about the trip. I saw roti and noodles and fish head curry and Popeyes chicken--put them in context.

      1. thanks for that great slideshow with commentary. i went to kl for my b-i-l's wedding a few years back. nobody was there who could've taken me on the food adventure that you had. the wedding banquet was formal chinese dinner, with the bird's nest soup and all. (i also welcomed the Johnnie Walker Black). no other memorable food except breakfast buffet at our hotel, and a food court noodle dish in which one of the noodles started to move on its own. gag!
