The market in the Mission still sells casings, and Avedano's in Bernal Heights sells pork and lamb or goat casings - but lot more expensive.

The butcher shop on the southwest corner of 23rd and Mission sells sausage casings. I don't know the name off the top of my head, but will make note of it when I go by there this afternoon and post it if you want.

Also the butcher shop at the northwest corner of 22 and Mission
in that little mall behind Popeyes. Sorry don't know the number.
If you special-order them from a supermarket or try to buy them
from Schwarz Sausages in the Mission (both viable possibilities) they're
going to charge you a metric buttload.
Sorry, I don't have the name or number for the 22nd and Mission
butcher shop, but that's where I get mine. Butcher's in the back, you
can't see it from the street. Casings are hugely cheaper here, like
under $10 for more than you could ever, ever use. -

re: Liz
my freinds and i made sausage a few years back and we found casings at Lucky Pork Store. they also gorund up a a variety of meats for us fresh.
Drewe's brothers makes their own sausage, but i haven't seen the casings in the meat case. (maybe they have some in back to sell?)
Other wise i would recommend trying some of the chinese butchers along Clement.
