Need to entertain big group of high level Japanese clients who want to go to trendy Manhattan restaurant (non Asian) -- any price ok. Thanks
i don't know how trendy it is anymore but if i wanted to impress someone (or a group of someones), i would take them to danube.
Probably the Modern at the MoMA. Sleek decor with a bar, and certainly a scene.
davidburke & donatella
this is a great call. The Modern is definitely worth considering.
How about 11 Madison Park? The building itself is gorgeous, the staff is excellent, the food is interesting and delicious, and the lighting is uberflattering.
I think you mean the restaurant's space is gorgeous. Agree on the other points. However, EMP is not considered "trendy" -- which, btw, is fine with me!
Brasserie in midtown might fit the bill. Also maybe Lever House? Park Avenue Autumn?
I wouldn't call Brasserie trendy or fancy. Lever House is somewhat trendy, and kind of fancy.
