Match a Meal to these MA colleges

Traveling through the state next week, and looking for best recommendations for interesting/unique/perhaps hole-in-the-wall eatery near the following schools:

Berkshire Community College (Pittsfield): lunch
MIT (Cambridge): breakfast
U MA - Lowell: lunch or dinner
Curry College (Milton): lunch
Worcester Polytechnic Institute: lunch or dinner
Wheaton College (Norton): lunch or dinner

  1. Lowell -- give South East Asia restaurant, or directly across the street - Friend's (Portuguese).
Both of these are on Market St. -- A short drive from UMass Lowell.

From UMass Lowell North Campus, head down University ave South, past Cumnock and Southwick Halls on the left, and Lydon library on the right. Go through the lights, across the bridge. At the other end of the bridge at the light, turn left onto Father Morissette Blvd.

Pass Aiken St., and then turn right on Cabot St.
Go through Moody St., Merrimack St., then turn left on Market St.
Once you pass Dummer St., you'll find Friend's Restaurant on the left, and SE Asian on the right. Easy parking just after Friend's on the left.

    1. If you want something very near WPI, choices within walking distance include:

Sole Proprietor -- upscale seafood on Highland St
Sahara -- middle eastern with nice atmosphere and slow service on Highland St
Rovezzi's -- upscale Italian on Grove St
Boynton -- pubbish place with local crowd on Highland St
Lucky's -- a true hole in the wall on Grove St, very characterful and intimate, open for lunch M-F but only open for dinner on, I think, Fridays and Saturdays.

If you are willing to drive a bit for something interesting/unique/hole-in-wall, I'd recommend the Bamboo Hut at 1394 Main St for great Vietnamese, both traditional and fusion style. BYOB. Or, search this board for rave reviews of One Love for Jamaican food.

      1. Great... I like the ethnic eateries, and look forward to more suggestions!
