Tiramisu in RDU area

Whats the best place to get a tiramisu in the Triangle area? Restaurants and/or bake shops. I have sampled at a number of places and found them to be hit or miss. I do love the tiramisu shortcake from Madhatters on Ninth Street in Durham. Any recommendations for actual tiramisu slice though?

Well, not to be too obvious, but Cafe Tiramisu on Falls of Neuse not only has wonderful tiramisu, but other fare as well. Conti's Italian market downtown sells individual and large-order tiramisu. And 518 West has wonderful tiramisu, from what I recall.

The tiramisu at Casalinga used to be excellent - I haven't been there in probably six months though, so if someone has a more recent experience, please chime in!

I was at Casalinga this weekend, and did order the tiramisu, but found it to be a little too creamy for my taste. I liked the tiramisu at Macaroni Grill on my last visit there FWIW.

The best tiramisu I've found in the Triangle is at La Shish in Cary. Their shawarma platters are also the best of their type I've found out here so far. Their baklava is out of this world. Sometimes I'll drive all the way from Durham just to get my Middle Eastern fix.

I like just about everything at La Shish also. I get them to hold the chocolate sauce on the tiramisu. Their cream of asparagus soup is the best I've ever had. It is totally unlike cream soups served by most places.

I had NO idea this place existed until JUST now haha. And I've lived in Cary since 2003! My husband and I will have to try it soon. Tiramisu is only my favorite dessert.
