Freezing Liverwurst?

For some reason the guy at the Boar's Head counter gave me three pounds of liverwurst instead of the 1.5-2 pounds that I asked for and gave me a per pound discount. I live alone and that's a lot of lunches. Can I freeze half of it for later or would it effect the texture/ flavor?

I just bought some from a meat CSA and it came frozen. I haven't defrosted mine yet, but I'd imagine it's ok since that's the way they send it
