Do you create unique foods? Get great advice

In Seattle for 2 Days

LA foodie in town this weekend and staying downtown. Please recommend two dinner restaurants (one casual / one upscale) and a solid bar and grill joint for lunch. Ethnic foods and hole-in-the-walls are fine. I can get Ruth Chris, etc. anywhere. Looking for experiences unique to Seattle. Thanks in advance.

Matt's in the Market for lunch, Zig Zag for cocktails, Union bar for dinner.

A very good list. Union Bar, by the way (sorry if this is obvious), is the bar and not the main dining room at Union Restaurant, though that is good too. Consider also Palace Kitchen, Etta's (esp brunch, but a seafood menu). Cafe Campagne (also brunch), Maximilien for mussels.

Salumi for lunch if you are here on any part of a weekday. (only open M-F)

Crush, Lark for upscale would be my choices, but agree with other suggessions.
Monsoon is somewhat updscale vietnamese, but prices reasonable.
        Matt's for lunch!
