Chinese food delivery - Studio City

  • k

Hello - I am looking for good chinese delivery in Studio City. We normally order from Kung Pao, and while it the entrees are good, the appetizers leave something to be desired. Any other delivery chinese food places in Studio City worth trying?

    1. Have you tried Dragon X next to Fat Jack's or City Wok on Ventura in the Ralph's center?

      1. The Chinese place on Magnolia and Coldwater, and the one on Laurel Canyon and Chandler (N) are both edible and deliver.

Toluca Gardens is without question the worst of any of the options in the area, and while many on this board know I like Kung Pao quite a bit, yet as you say not the appetizers.
China Lites has never done it for me either, yet I know Das Ubergeek has always thought of them as decent.
The problem with delivery is the timing once the food has been prepared and packaged. If you get the first delivery, you might get lucky. Yet if the driver has 2-4 stops to make in all kinds of different yet somewhat nearby areas, your food might be cooked 30-45 minutes ago, and thus keeps on cooking, and then it does not come out like you want it to.
The easiest solution is to order it ahead of time and go pick it up, especially from Thursday - Sundays or on any major holiday or sporting event that is popular.

This is exactly right -- and why it's worth driving to get it.

China Lites isn't going to win any awards anytime soon but as long as you stay away from very obviously sugary foods, you'll be fine.

                    Hey, Uber:
Is Golden Chopsticks still @ Magnolia and Laurel?
When I used to order to go, I would tell 'em---cook it for Chinese people
and it wouldn't be half bad.

That I don't know -- don't get that way hardly ever anymore, especially now Skaf's has opened in Glendale. Sorry!
