Low Carb Labeling
I sometimes eat the protein bars/meal bars that are "low carb."
On these bars, they list the total carbs and the "net carbs." If you watch your carbs, you know what I mean.
My question is this:
Lately, some of the bars I've been eating list the sugar, not the carbs. The same bar that used to say "3 net carbs" now says "3 gms sugar" or "3 net sugar."
Does anyone know why the labeling would change? This sounds like government interference or else someone realized the manufacturers were mislabeling the carbs.
Any thoughts or any idea why this is or what happened?
