Appetizers Paired with Wine Suggestions for Tapas-like dinner

Hi All,

After a recent trip to Napa, my husband and I would like to prepare an appetizer-only meal with simple (but good) appetizers that we can pair with different types of wine. So far we have Cranberry Brie Bites- paired with champagne, and Oranges with Dessert Wine and Rosemary for dessert. Any other ideas? We're looking for recipes with meat, some just veggies, maybe soup, maybe fondou, ect.

Also, since we're having a few different apps, they need to be simple if possible, since we'll be simultaneously cooking things.

Thanks in advance!!!!

  1. I'd suggest some kind of beef on crostini, paired with Bordeaux or a California Cabernet Sauvignon. Michael Chiarello has a nice one on the Food Network website. Here's the link:

I'd pair the Cranberry Brie bites with white wine instead of champagne, and would do gougeres or a savory madeline with the champagne, or something with smoked salmon, which is a good combo.

    1. Pancetta, pear, and goat cheese with pinot noir. Don't get the pancetta cut too thin (as the recipe suggests) or it will fall apart after baking and not hold the toppings.
