Typhoon Asian Bistro 11/3/07
i liked the look of this place.
very expensive for sushi. there was nothing really wrong with what i got but the price knocked me over.
what i got:
4 orders unagi nigiri, 1 toro sashimi, 1 albacore sashimi, 2 orders uni w/quail egg), 1 order hirame nigiri, 1 order suzuki nigiri and one hamachi kama. i also had one large sapporo and one (albeit huge) glass of pearl nigori sake. how much was that (with tip)? $160.00!
each sashimi order was $22.00 for five slices of average fish. ARRRGH!
i really should of paid attention to what was going on around me. almost nobody in the place was having sushi. most were having other asian cooked dishes.
if i am to ever go back, i'll be much wiser about what i'm ordering.
