So I'm the kind of japanese that comes from hawaii, honolulu to be precise. There's a take-out place near Kahala called "Karyn's Okazu-ya" and it's the best ever. Hash patties, miso fish, shoyu chicken... etc.. Is there a place anywhere in l.a. that has this kind of food but done well? Torrance maybe, or Redondo Beach?

You can get that food in Gardena. Not on quantity, but quality.

Second on Bob's. Also in Gardena, try Bradda's and Gardena Bowl for that island taste.

Several of those places on these two are okazu-ya, not just a plate lunch.
