wok and noodle in alhambra
i finally went to this shanghainese restaurant that my chinese friends have been raving about. it's a small hole in the wall that only has a chinese sign that reads "shanghai little eats" (in chinese, of course). here are the dishes we ordered, listed in order of preference.
assorted fried noodle with special sauce
sweet and sour yellow fish
shanghai fried rice cake
braised sauce duck
shanghai special- celery, bamboo shoots, shredded pork, "chilly", squid
vegetable with bean sheet jelly
braised chicken with wine and basil
de-greased and braised boneless pork leg shank
braised and minced pork
fish with kelp (better at mei long village)
the address is 858 west valley boulevard (at atlantic). their phone # is 626-588-2284. lunch is 11 to 3 and dinner is 5:30 to 9:30.

green! hmm... order of preference is fine and all, but i can't tell if you actually liked any of it! (you could have been listing the best to worst dishes at a restaurant that you would never go back to lol)...

re: rameniac
i would actually recommend every dish on the list. however, i don't know if i'd make a trek out from west la just for this restaurant. but if you have a hankering for shanghainese food and you happen to be in the area...and you don't want to spend a lot of money, i'd eat here. :)
