New Farmers Market in Carlisle
I just thought I'd let everyone know there is a new farmers market in downtown Carlisle. You can get organic produce from Lattimore Valley Farms, awesome fruits & ciders from Toigo Orchards, local wine from Adams County Winery, pastured poultry, pork & lamb along with sheep and cow milk cheeses from Otterbein Acres, cow's milk cheeses and fresh yogurt from Keswick Creamery and of course, grass & milk fed, humanely raised veal, grass-fed goat and beef, pastured poultry and whatever is growing (organically) in the garden from us at Painted Hand Farm.
There are several other vendors, too--bakers, chocolatier, ice cream, seafood, fresh meats, sandwiches, fair-trade coffee....
I'm a big foodie from way back when I had a deli, catering business and worked at the now defunct Wheeler Hot Springs where I used to shop farmers markets and local farms for the freshest and most unusual produce. Now I'm on the other side of the table producing the sort of things that I loved cooking with when I was in the business.
