Vegetarian ONLY restaurants in Miami area?

minkdreads Nov 3, 2007 12:54 PM

I'm going to Miami tomorrow for four days. I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian from NYC. I have been disappointed by my research so far on the web and even with the posts on this site- I don't need suggestions on "great restaurants with vegetarian options", as I can of course always find something anywhere- everyone has salad and cheese pizza, etc. Most of the places I have been able to find on the internet have been more like sandwich-counter-juice-bar types of places, which are not really restaurants. I would really REALLY like to find a place that's similar to some of the veggy places here in NYC- like VP2 and Zen Palate- which serve veggy "meat" as opposed to just macro-beansprout-hummus-whatever. Does Miami have such a type of place? Or even up in Ft Lauderdale? We'll be all over the entire area, and would love to have some great ideas!

Check out www.meatlessinmiami.com. It's run by long-time vegetarian and local hero Lolo.

Great, thanks for the info. :) Oh, just so you know, I couldn't find it at that address, so I googled it and it's http://meatlessmiami.blogspot.com. Thanks again!

Try Sublime Restaurant in Ft Lauderdale. I am pretty sure they have a website. I have never been there myself but my bestfriend from Miami ( Also a Vegetarian) often drives there for a nice dinner.
