Help! Need to urgently replace 30' gas stove

galka Nov 3, 2007 10:49 AM

I cook a lot but the problem is that we will not stay in this house for more than 1 year so I do not want to invest on a really good one. Are there any reasonably priced gas ranges that will do a decent job for me before I move out? I will dream about Wolfs and Vikings when we buy a new house!

Thanks, hounds!

Why not look for a used one on Craigslist.org?

Take a look on the Sears.com website. You can search by size and/or how much you want to spend.

Just bought a Kitchen Aid after seeing how much Viking and other high-end stoves cost. I paid $1,600 for mine while a comparable Viking would have cost over double that price. Plus it comes with a built-in self-cleaning convection oven and a a super burner for wok cooking. The only negative comment I have to say about it is that the super burner was not hot enough per my expectations. 16,000 BTUs still lacks the power burner status I wanted. It's great for everyday cooking though.
