Asian Markets in Westchester

I've recently moved into the area. Any suggestions on good places to shop for Asian groceries (both good products and good prices)? Especially in Tarrytown or White Plains? I searched online, but was less than successful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    1. kam sen market is my favorite, but if you compare it to some other markets in Chinatown, NJ or Long Island, it will come up short., It does have a wide range of stuff. It is in a mall in White Plains on the block between Barker ,Hamilton, and Martin Luther King Boulevard..

Thanks. Is it a Korean market?

Not specifically Korean. General Asian I'd say.

its Chinese owned. but it carries a lot of other Asian goods like Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese.

      2. My favorite is Daido in White Plains on Mamaroneck Avenue. Its big, they have a huge selection, and everything is super fresh! It is mainly a Japanese supermarket, but in one of the aisles, they have a few Chinese and Korean products. Also, there is a Parisienne Bakery inside the market... its a Japanese bakery with delicious fresh baked goods! Oh... and theres also a mini sushi takeout place inside too!

            I second Kam Sen.

MikiLovesSugar, where is Daido? Is that the one near the fork of Bloomingdale Rd.?

Not Miki but yes Dolores. I've seen it by that fork.

I second Daido. I like kam sen, too, and it has a bigger selection. But things at Daido seem fresher to me.

          3. Kam sen is large and is great for fish. But I prefer Golden Village in Scarsdale and find for many things their prices are better.

            1. There is a small Thai grocery store in Yonkers on the service road to 87 going north on the east side a few blocks north of the Race track. It's much smaller than Kam Sen and Golden Village but I like it for fresh thai basil, etc.
