Food Safari, Anyone Else Watching?

  • 6

I'm really liking this show. They have real experts cooking, they explain ethnic ingredients and they whip through a lot of recipes in the half hour.

Food Network but it may only be on in Canada. Hard for us to tell which shows overlap. Not sure when it is on, I have it set to tape on my PVR. An Australian show but you may see it soon on PBS or FN - US.

I watch it on FoodTV canada and am totally hooked. I love the simplicity of the show and all the information. The host is great she lets the guests shine and really seems to enjoy herself. Australians rock when it comes to food magazines and this is a great example of food magazine translated to tv. Hopefully there will be many episodes as very often shows that Candian speciality channels bring in are often on endless rerun after one or two seasons...

    2. I'm loving this show. Very authentic.
      I found their website:

Thanks so much for posting the URL to the show's Australian website! I'd been trying to find the recipes but the Canadian site (foodnetwork.ca) doesn't have rights to the recipes. I love how you get to see the actual techniques, not just the ingredients for each cuisine type!

Thank you for posting the web site. The episode about Turkish food was aired today on Food Network Canada and I wanted the recipe for the Pistachio Semolina Cake.
          Great show!
