If you don't mind venturing towards Toluca Lake, Gindhi Thai is delicious. Very fresh and light...everything there is good.

Best food for me is at Swann Thai on Sherman Way & Coldwater.
Best pineapple fried rice, best beef boat noodles. Super-friendly staff. Great little tasting menu with about 10 dishes at $3 each. Highly recommend.

Little Siam on Oxnard in Van Nuys. Not fancy but consistently good. Great panang. No liquor license... so no Singha.

Go to Sherman Way, plus or minus of Coldwater Canyon, meaning between Bellaire and Fulton, and choose any one you want. They are better than any on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks or Studio City. Krua Thai is definitely one of the better ones.
But if you must remain in Studio City, Sompun is not bad on Ventura Place just west of the Big 5 sporting goods store.

Whut he said. You can feed a family of four fantastic, authentic Thai for what you'd pay for one on Ventura Blvd.
