Can someone recommend a good dim sum restaurant in toronto downtown? I know Lai Wah Hen is excellent, but I am looking for something less expensive. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

There's a restaurant on the corner of Baldwin & McCaul that's great dim sum.

If you like Kowloon, you should really try more places. In my opinion it is some of the worst in the city and I believe that's why it is never busy at what should be peak dim sum times. They don't even mention dim sum on their signs.

I have noticed over time that on this board, Rol San is widely thought of as being excellent . It is a favourite and very well priced. Not at all expensive. If you haven't been, try it out.

wow, although i've had good experiences at Kowloon, your passionate objection to my recommendation has almost convinced me otherwise...

Pink Pearl at Harbourfront has a terrific view and very tasty dim sum.

Rol sun is good and the price is resonable. Pearl is as good as Lai Wah Hen and they are pricy too.
