I am going to put in a good word for one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale: Voltaire. Subdued, quiet, excellent. This French restaurant is one of the best "hidden gems" in the Valley. Should you head there, try the Onion Soup and any of the desserts made tableside. It really is a wonderful place that gets little press.

Indeed. When J. and I went there, we were the youngest people in the place (ages 43 and 34). We had a wonderful time. Very gracious service and plenty of choices.

I second Methode Bistro....it is one of the most underated restaurants in Scottsdale.....It is wonderful! Matt McGlinn is one of the Valley's rising stars!

Does anybody have any experience requesting a vegetarian entree at Methode? The menu looks pretty "meaty", but otherwise seems like a place I might like.
