Only have one free night. No steakhouse. Expensive is fine. Delicious food; nice ambience; not too loud.

The Latilla Dining Room at The Boulders might fit the bill, but the distance might exceed 10 miles?

I am going to put in a good word for one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale: Voltaire. Subdued, quiet, excellent. This French restaurant is one of the best "hidden gems" in the Valley. Should you head there, try the Onion Soup and any of the desserts made tableside. It really is a wonderful place that gets little press.

Indeed. When J. and I went there, we were the youngest people in the place (ages 43 and 34). We had a wonderful time. Very gracious service and plenty of choices.

Staying at Sanctuary Camelback. Prefer no further than 10 miles. Thanks.

There is an excellent restaurant, elements, as I'm sure you're aware of on-site. I'll include some placemarks for others close by - search the board and you'll find lots more info about these places.

Rancho Pinot Grill and Methode Bistro fit the bill. Both are relatively centrally located, as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I really like Methode Bistro quite a bit, and I'm hoping it starts to get the attention it deserves. Thanks for letting us know you liked it.

Does anybody have any experience requesting a vegetarian entree at Methode? The menu looks pretty "meaty", but otherwise seems like a place I might like.
